After a one-month artist residency of the choreographer Anna Konjetzky, the composer Nikolay Popov and three dancers, the first development phase will be presented on May 19 at the ZKM's Cube.

During a joint month-long residency at the ZKM, choreographer Anna Konjetzky, composer Nikolay Popov, and dancers Sahra Huby, Maxwell McCarthy, and Quindell Orton have spent the last four weeks exploring how to develop a composition of breath, music, and body. The development of the composition was largely informed by thoughts on stimulation, arousal, intimacy, and the transgression of physical boundaries.

The showing will feature three sketches on breathing and stimulation, including a jointly developed work, a musical exploration of the theme by composer Nikolay Popov, and an outlook on approaches that Anna Konjetzky will explore in greater depth as part of her new production »ABOUT A SESSION« (premiering January 25, 2018 at the Kammerspiele Munich).

As part of the Goethe-Institut project »Interdisciplinary Laboratory for New Music, Contemporary Dance, Theater and New Media«.
