Microscopic view into the sound of nature. A lecture by Sabine Schäfer to Joachim Krebs´ exhibition.
Thu, June 01, 2017 6 pm – 7 pm CEST, Lecture
Inspired by the scrips of Gilles Deleuze and Michel Foucault, the musician, composer and sound artist Joachim Krebs (1952-2013) developed a special artistic procedure to use the inner tone of natural sounds and noises as his artistic base material to create his sound compositions.
The natures and animal´s micro- and macrocosm serve as inspiration for creativity, thereby the developed sampler turns into a sound microscope.
Accompanying the exhibition »Joachim Krebs: Deleuze und der Sampler als Audio-Mikroskop« Sabine Schäfers lecture gives an insight to Joachim Krebs` multifarious art works and ways of thinking, which has varied quiet a lot in the last few decades.
