The German Society for Electroacoustic Music (DEGEM) celebrates its 30th anniversary with a three-day festival at the ZKM.
The German Society for Electroacoustic Music (DEGEM) promotes electroacoustic music and sound art on a national and international level. Founded in 1991, DEGEM celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2021. To mark this occasion, the DEGEM 30 event will be held in cooperation with the ZKM | Hertz-Labor from October 29 to 31 at the ZKM | Karlsruhe.
The program of DEGEM 30 includes many different events dealing with the current, past and future work of the association and its members. There will be electro-acoustic concerts, the presentation of the newly curated anniversary CD, the awarding of the Thomas Seelig Fixed Media Prize, the presentation of a commemorative publication and an exciting exchange of information in the form of a panel discussion. The exact program will be announced shortly.
