Accompanying the exhibition »Lutz Mommartz. Der durchsichtige Mensch« the ZKM presents a film screening with selected works by the German experimental filmmaker.

As an autodidact, Lutz Mommartz made a name for himself early on in the film scene by breaking with the conventional traditions of mainstream cinema. The view of the world through the camera, conditions of film presentation and the investigation of cinematographic stylistic devices are particularly crucial to his cinematic work. The screening will provide insight into Mommartz's multifaceted cinematic oeuvre since the 1960s.
