About the book

Der wunde Punkt – Vom Unbehagen an der Kritik [Sore point – uneasiness in the face of criticism]

edition suhrkamp
Criticism is a national sport: Everyone criticises everyone. Criticism changes the world, at least indirectly: as relativistic hyper-criticism that sabotages commonalities, as criticism of capitalism which keeps capitalism fit or as miserabilism that delights in the evil in the world. Thomas Edlinger traces the fetishisation of criticism back to where it hurts and shows how resentment translates into post-critical attitudes.
