ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe was founded in 1989 to continue the classical arts into the digital age. Today, ZKM is one of the world's most renowned institutions for an open concept of art and is both an exhibition and event venue as well as a research institution. It operates nationally and internationally in diverse networks with renowned partners from the fields of culture, science and music. We are a foundation under public law with the City of Karlsruhe and the State of Baden-Württemberg as founders.
