Travelling to the ZKM

Arrival by Public Transport

Due to construction measures, the travel times in the Karlsruhe area change from time to time. We kindly ask you to check the current traffic situation on the website of the Karlsruhe Transport Association (KVV).

Arrival by tram

From the »Hauptbahnhof Karlsruhe« (main station) take line 2 (direction »ZKM – Siemensallee«) to the stop »ZKM« (travel time about 6 minutes). If you would like to travel from the city centre to ZKM, get on at the stop »Europaplatz – Karlstraße«, take line 2 (direction »ZKM – Hauptbahnhof«) and get off at the stop »ZKM« in about 5 minutes.

Arrival by bus

From »Hauptbahnhof Karlsruhe« take the bus line 55 (direction »Kühler Krug – Bannwaldallee«) to the bus stop »Lorenzstraße – ZKM«.

Arrival by car

From the A5 and A8 highways

Coming from Stuttgart on the A8, follow the A5 in the direction of »Basel«. Leave the highway at the »Karlsruhe Süd« exit and follow the signs for »Karlsruhe Stadt«.

From the A65 highway

The A65 merges with the B10 federal highway. Leave the federal highway at exit no. 4 and follow the signs »ZKM«.

Parking Spaces

There are about 700 parking spaces available in the paid car park. The »ZKM« car park can be reached via Südendstraße 44, where two charging stations are available for electric cars – while one station is reserved for cars from »Stadtmobil«, the other station can be used by all garage parkers.
