The case of a female poacher in Montafon caused a stir at the beginning of the 1990s in Austria, also because a woman because a woman had actively penetrated the mythically charged male domain of illicit hunting. She was eventually charged. The artist succeeded in tracking down the former poacher so as to discover more about the story. A young woman (portrayed by the artist herself) carries out domestic activities in a mountain cabin; she makes a fire and kneads dough. The meditative view becomes surreal when she begins hanging out raw meat on a washing line, and wrapping herself to a tree in plastic foil. An older woman is accompanied while hunting; her shot finally shatters the characteristic “Heimat film idyll” of alpine landscapes.
