ZKM is part of TheMuseumsLab

The international collaboration project »TheMuseumsLab« kicks off in May 2021. The program, which is supported by a large number of partners, promotes the exchange of knowledge between 20 African and 20 German museum professionals. The ZKM is represented by three speakers and will host three African guests at the ZKM for a mutual exchange.

TheMuseumsLab aims at developing a community of practice engaging museum professionals from more than 10 African countries and Germany. Museums as well as scientific and cultural institutions come together to learn, to develop new ways of thinking, and to foster new practices of collaboration. The initiative is an important step towards establishing a platform for international cooperation among museums.
