As a cultural institution the Center for Art and Media (ZKM) in Karlsruhe holds a unique position in the world: It understands itself as center of competency for digital art and as a museum of all genres of art and of media. Beyond its functions as a museum, the ZKM unites the fields of research and production, exhibition and events, archiving and documentation under one roof.
