Monday–Sunday: 6.30–10 pmThe audiovisual installation LIMBO is a one-shot-trip through experiences of landscapes in digital and abstract space. By means of fluctuating between micro and macro perspectives, the artwork addresses the relationship between humans, nature, and the Earth. The stylistic usage of extremely long shots points out that environmental changes are often not easy to perceive but they are ongoing and virtually irreversible. These images are also a complete contrast to the rapid images we experience daily when in contact with digital media. Designed as a large format projection that extends over the corner of a shop window, its visual layers plus the explorations of binaural beats and specific frequencies merge together in an experience that, for the viewers, is physical.

Sarah Degenhardt
Sarah Degenhardt (*1992) engages in her works with landscapes, nature, and their influence on people and their habitus. In the course of the work process she abstracts her experiences to create condensed, reduced images which she translates into audiovisual multichannel installations, paper artworks, and sculptures. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe and during her stays abroad at the École supérieure d’art in La Réunion (FR) and the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris (FR). Sarah Degenhardt lives and works in Karlsruhe.
João Carlos Pinto
João Carlos Pinto (*1998) studied piano and composition at the Conservatório Gulbenkian in Braga (PT) and composition at the Escola Superior de Musica in Lisbon (PT). He also attended masterclasses and workshops given by Ensemble recherche, Tristan Murail, Thomas Adés, and others. His music has been played in cultural institutions and at festivals including the CEMI Circles in Denton (US), the Gaudeamus in Utrecht (NL), and the Matera Intermedia (IT). In his work, he concentrates particularly on the electronic instruments, which he builds himself. He lives and works in Braga (PT).
