- Description
- Thomas Locher is interested in language. He shows its principles and modes of operation and investigates how cultural habits and power relations are reflected in language.
KLEINE HERMENEUTIK DES SCHWEIGENS shows a conversation situation. Words and sentences are engraved in the metal table and chairs. The chairs show a sequence of demonstrative pronouns. On the table you can read statements about non-communication: "I just can't talk anymore", "I'd rather say nothing than say something wrong".
"Hermeneutics" is the science of interpreting a text. How can we learn to interpret silence? Can it be taught?
