Nicola L. Hein
Biography
Nicola L. Hein is a sound artist, guitarist, electronic musician, composer and researcher in the field of music technology, aesthetics and cybernetics. In his work he uses cybernetic human-machine interaction with interactive A.I. music systems, physical and electronic extensions of instruments, sound installations with motors/video projections/light, augmented reality, telematic art, immersive audio, electronic instrument making. He also develops intermedia works with video art, dance, literature and other art forms. With the support of the Goethe-Institut and many others, his works have been realized in more than 30 countries in North America, South America, Africa, Asia and Europe. His artistic work is documented in over 40 different publications on international labels. Collaboration with: Max Eastly, Miya Masaoka, Axel Dörner, Chris Chafe, Mazen Kerbaj, Ute Wassermann, Viola Yip, Adam Pultz Melbye, Toshimaru Nakamura, Lillevan, Claudia Schmitz and many more.
