Kwangrae Kim
Biography
Kwangrae Kim is a composer, researcher, and curator based in Gwangju, Korea. His work brings together artistic practice, research, and curatorial inquiry across electroacoustic music, sound art, audiovisual media, and multichannel performance. His works have been presented internationally at festivals and conferences including sonADA, NYCEMF, L'Autre Musique, and ICMC. He holds a PhD in Musical Composition from the University of Aberdeen, and degrees in composition and music technology from Chugye University for the Arts and Korea National University of Arts. He currently works as a curator at the Sound Lab of the National Asian Culture Center (ACC), where he leads the multi-year research and exhibition series Futures of Listening and develops exhibitions and programs engaging contemporary sonic and media practices in Korea and beyond.
