- Description
- »SKIN 3.0« captures the biometric data of exhibition visitors to generate a 3D avatar in real time that appears in spectacular digital outfits. By moving in front of the depth camera system, visitors can change the avatar’s digital outfits and play through countless variations of materials and designs. The outfit the avatar wears is generated by a matrix of algorithms based on the user’s biometric data and is unique at every moment. Each outfit remains a unique design that only appears once on the screen.
Tristan Schulze’s »SKIN 3.0« shows the currently rapidly developing possibilities of digitally generated and produced fashion. The SKIN outfits are prototypes for which there are no patterns or sewing instructions yet. In a further development stage of »SKIN«, the algorithms will also be able to draw on locally available materials to design a wide variety of outfits. In the future, it should be possible to produce the digitally generated garments by machine and locally.
