Biography

Abir Chattopadhyay (1988, Kolkata, India) is a visual artist whose practice spans drawing, painting, performance, and new media. He holds an M.V.A. from the Government College of Art & Craft, Kolkata, and a B.F.A. from the Indian Art College under Rabindra Bharati University. Chattopadhyay has exhibited at the Academy of Fine Arts, Birla Academy, Bodhi Tree Gallery, and Lalit Kala Akademi. His work explores expressive mark-making through diverse materials such as ink, charcoal, and mixed media. Alongside his studio practice, he has taught art in schools across India and collaborated on performance and animation projects, including music videos.
