Barbara Golden
Biography
Barbara Golden is an artist living in Nova Scotia. The escaped housewife/schoolteacher left Montreal for Mills College in 1979 to study with Terry Riley and Bob Ashley. Since 1985 she has done trash feminist cabaret, WIGband, played Balinese music in the USA and Bali, and produced, hosted and board-operated the acclaimed contemporary music show Crack o' Dawn, on Pacifica KPFA. Golden plays keyboards with The Golden Path, and has performed with Matmos, the Residents, the Hub, and Blechdom From Blechdom. She is currently developing a lounge act for the dive-bar circuit on Nova Scotia's South Shore. (barbaramindagolden.com)
