Igor Štromajer

Igor Štromajer is “an intimate mobile communicator” and multimedia artist. His two best known works are »Ballettikka Internettikka« and »Oppera Internettikka« (1997–2011). He has won several international awards for his work, and his projects are in the permanent collections of prestigious art institutions, such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris; the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid (ES); the Moderna galerija in Ljubljana; Computerfinearts Gallery – net and media art collection in New York (US); the Maribor Art Gallery (SI). His multimedia projects investigate emotional tactics, intimate political guerrilla and traumatic low-tech communication strategies.
