Biography

Javier Garavaglia is an award-winning composer, violist, sound artist and former music professor with a wide-ranging, interdisciplinary approach to digital art and related technologies. He focuses primarily on various aspects of music/sound composition and performance based on computer sciences, with a constant search for new sound experiences that combine new developments in computer-aided sound synthesis, live interaction, advanced instrumental techniques and sound spatialization. His compositions are performed/broadcasted in Europe, America and Asia in world-renowned concert halls/broadcasters and include electroacoustic music (acousmatic, interactive, multimedia), instrumental music for solo instruments, ensemble and orchestra as well as sound art for installations. Several of his acousmatic works have been released on CDs by Edition DEGEM.
