Jug Marković
Biography
Jug Marković, Belgrade born and Stuttgart based, pursues an intuitive approach marked by stylistic heterogeneity, genre-blending, and exploration of archaic gestures. Human voice, electronics and piano stand at the core of his artistic praxis. His music has been performed by leading ensembles including Intercontemporain and Neue Vocalsolisten. With background shaped in Belgrade, at IRCAM Paris, and at HMDK Stuttgart with Marco Stroppa his recent commissions include works for Remix Casa da Música Porto and IRCAM.
Jug also holds a degree in archaeology.
Together with Thea Soti Jug Marković has developed interdisciplinary works blending contemporary music, experimental electronics, and vocal performance. Their first collaboration, commissioned by IRCAM Paris, marked the beginning of a shared sonic language engaging voice, technology, and social relevance.
