Biography

Martino Sarolli is a sound and visual artist, coder as well as a hardware hacker working with neural networks since 2014. Currently, he teaches as a professor of multimedia at Genoa’s Conservatory of Music Nicolò Paganini. In 2018, he was awarded the Giga-Hertz Special Award for Artificial Intelligence by ZKM | Karlsruhe and SWR Experimentalstudio. Sarolli’s works were exhibited at Biennale di Venezia, SMC Sound and Music Computing Conference, NIME New Interfaces for Musical Expression, Pixxelpoint Festival, To Listen To Festival, among others.
His collaborative projects with the artist collective Crosslucid and the AI artist Emanuela Quaranta have been premiered at South by Southwest, KI Biennale, Hotel Blue Vellum LA, and published in Slanted Magazine, British Journal of Photography and Kunstforum International.
