Michael Maar
Biography
Michael Maar is a critic and freelance writer living in Berlin. He is a member of the Bavarian Academy of the Fine Arts and the German Academy for Languages and Literature. Maar’s recent books are Heute bedeckt und kühl. Große Tagebücher von Samuel Pepys bis Virginia Woolf (2013) and Tamburinis Buckel. Meister von heute (2014), both published by C.H. Beck, Munich, which also published his first novel, the 2012 work Die Betrogenen.
