Stefanie Schäfer

Steffi Schäfer (*1980 in Neuenbürg, Germany) studied sociology, political sciences and media studies at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. She then completed a traineeship at the Radio Academy in Dortmund. After working for ZDF and WDR, she began working as a music editor at DASDING for SWR in Baden-Baden in 2004. In 2005, Schäfer moved to Radio Fritz (RBB) in Potsdam and from there to 1LIVE (WDR) in Cologne in 2006. In 2009, she returned to DASDING and worked there in the music editorial department as well as in the word editorial department as chief of staff. In 2012, she took over as head of the music editorial department at DASDING. In 2022, she began working at the SWR 3 music editorial office. She has served on numerous juries, including the New Music Award, the newcomer prize of young ARD radio programs. In 2016, she received the German Radio Award in the category »Best Innovation« in place of the project team and the young radio programs of ARD.
