Biography

Tayuko Nakao-Seibert was born in Tokyo and grew up in Japan and Indonesia. After being educated at the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo, she studied piano with an artistic and pedagogical emphasis at the Musikhochschule Lübeck with Prof. James Tocco. She then studied piano chamber music at the Karlsruhe University of Music under Professors Michael Uhde and Markus Stange. She finshed her Master of Music with honors. During her studies she received teaching assignments at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts and the University of Music Karlsruhe. She also attended master classes with Konrad Elser, Peter Feuchtwanger, Christian Favre, Paul Badura-Skoda, Siegfried Palm, Walter Levin and Rudolf Jansen. As a chamber musician, orchestral pianist and soloist, she has performed at the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele, the International Messiaen-Woche and the »atacca« concert series in Stuttgart. Since 2012 she has been a lecturer at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts.
