Yuri Akbalkan
- Biography
Yuri Akbalkan is a musician based in St. Petersburg, who works in the fields of composition, improvisation and electroacoustic music. He participated in the ESG-21 “Electroacoustic Music Lab”, lecturer and co-curator of the “Course in experimental music practice”, collaborates with ESG-21 and reMusik.org. In his own practice he explores an aspect of the interaction between digital, analogue and acoustic sound sources, integration of sounding objects into the public space in the context of urbanization and nonverbal communications. Currently he lives in Cologne, Germany.
