»artintact« is an annual CD-ROMagazine in which the.ZKM/Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe presents pioneering work in the field of interactive media art. Featured in the fourth issue are the artists Marina Grzinic & Aina Smid, Dieter Kiessling and An ja Wiese-all of them long since involved in examinations of media (old and new, analog and digital). The book contains essays on the works and the artists; in his introductory text, John G. Hanhardt, Curator at the Guggenheim Museum, NewYork, considers developments in artists' usage of digital media in the light of film and video history.
