Etude d’après Séraphin

In his composition »Etude d’aprés Seraphin«, Rihm works intensively with digital electronic means for the first time. As a layer of commemoration (also of pre-civilization sound levels) the electronic part is closely connected with the eleven live playing instrumentalists. Since their first performance - 25 years ago - Ensemble 13 has been praised for their perfect interpretations of contemporary music.

This production received the quarterly German Record Critics' Award.
