Ief Spincemaille

Ief Spincemaille (*1976, BE) lives and works between Leuven and Brussels, BE. He studied philosophy at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, BE, and Modern Music at L’AULA de Música Moderna y Jazz, Fundació Conservatori del Liceu, Barcelona, ES. In his practice, Spincemaille focuses on relational, participatory sculptures that can be worn, held, or activated, transforming objects into systems of exchange that encourage social interaction. Working at the intersection of technology, science, philosophy, and poetry, he explores how art emerges through human engagement, perception and dialogue in both public and institutional spaces.
