Biography
Matthias Müller (*1961, Bielefeld, DE) lives and works in Hanover, DE. The filmmaker specialized in experimental film, video and photography, studied German language, literature and art at the University of Bielefeld from 1981 to 1987, followed by fine art at the Braunschweig University of Art. He was a guest professor at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences. Since 2003, he holds a professorship in experimental film at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. His film practice is characterized by his use of found footage.
