What is the situation for street artists in Russia and what changes can be noticed since the beginning of the war? Russian-born street artist Slava Ptrk, who currently lives as a nomad, will give an insight into the street art scene in Russia and report on developments since the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Slava Ptrk will talk about the modern history of the Guerilla Street Art Culture in an autocratic regime through the optic of his own practice. The main focus will be on his experiences as an urban artist and curator during the last 15 years in the realization of street art projects and exhibitions.
He will give an overview of important artists, events and works as well as an insight in his art as a practice of resistance in a repressive system.
