How do you practice living and working on Mars? – By actually living and working on Mars!

As part of the world’s largest space simulation, “Worlds Biggest Analog,” scientists and researchers from around the globe will embark on a simulated mission to the Moon and the Red Planet from October 13-26, 2025. Across several habitats and the central mission control, they’ll explore how humanity could live and work together in space. By conducting analogous simulations to real missions, the inherent challenges and required equipment, experiments, space suit and habitat designs, and procedures for living in space can be tested here on Earth.

Join live!
Take part in an English-language live video Q&A with the Mission Coordination Center in Vienna (MICO-VIE) while the WBA is underway. You’ll get an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the mission control that supports multiple sites on the Moon and Mars at the same time. Prepare your questions as an analog simulation themselves: we are talking to the mission control supporting multiple locations on both the Moon and Mars.
