Keep Karlsruhe Boring @USEUM

Against boredom, for diversity: Introducing Keep Karlsruhe Boring - an autonomous event calendar that anyone can use and contribute to.

The prototype aims to provide a comprehensive overview of events in Karlsruhe, a city with a broader political and cultural scene than you might expect. It is also a techno-social experiment in which users regain power by building an alternative to private social media through the Fediverse. Additionally, the calendar creates a space where we can avoid feeling bored or overwhelmed.

At USEUM, we will present the ideas and work behind Keep Karlsruhe Boring. Some people will also share their experiences with the event calendar. This will be followed by a practical session. If possible, please bring your laptop! We will explain how to add an event. Afterwards, we will allow time for networking between people from different collectives.
