The mobile phone was used to call NSA whistleblower William Binney in June 2015. It is now also under direct surveillance by the intelligence services. By calling this phone from your own device, you add yourself to the extended surveillance network around William Binney. You voluntarily put yourself in the position of being associated with a whistleblower. There is much more at stake than the possible consequences of a data trail.
