KONS MusicComputerWorkshop
Sat, May 31, 2003 8 pm CEST, Concert

As part of the concert, in co-operation with the Institute for Music and Acoustics 12 participants in the MusicComputerWorkshops at the Baden KONServatorium present their works to the public. For the past six months and in particular during the studio week in April, participants worked intensively on their compositions. They will present various styles from Drum'n Bass, Hip Hop and Rock all the way through to experimental music. The computer is integrated into the performance as an independent instrument and combined with live instrumental sound and singing. The Music Computer Workshop is a co-operation between the Baden KONservatorium and the ZKM Museum Communication which was initiated in 1999. So far, Andreas Köhler has directed more than 35 workshops with ca. 260 participants. The aim of the event is to portray the computer as an independent musical instrument.
