upDate: Hilary Koob-Sassen

During his stay as artist-in-residence at the ZKM, Hilary Koob-Sassen, an artist from New York, has produced a video film entitled »The Square and the Round God«, which he will be presenting to the public for the first time on 28 January 2004.

The project brings together various strands of Koob-Sassen’s work to date in the fields of video art, performance and sculpture. The very compact audio-visual syntax of this full-length film illustrates the artist’s approach to the possibility of describing history as the continuous testing of specific organisational structures.
