Concert curated and interpreted live through a loudspeaker orchestra by Thomas Gerwin
This programme is devoted to acoustic finds and the wide variety of music that can emerge from them. The different artistic positions on »music for loudspeakers« that are presented reflect not only the personal philosophy and aesthetic ideals of the composer, but also the studio technology used at the respective time and place. The styles range from musique concrète, digital Ars Acustica and politically committed text-sound composition via computer music and soundscape composition to electronic club music. They will all be staged live and given a spatial interpretation at the concert. A specific space-sound choreography will be devised for each piece and presented in a 10-channel loudspeaker setting created especially for the concert, in which the audience will be surrounded by sound.
