50 Years of Todd AO
Fri, 07.10.2005 – Sun, 09.10.2005
The Todd AO wide-angle technique – named after its inventor Michael Todd – was the famous attempt to develop new cinema projection and screening methods. To mark the festival in the Schauburg the ZKM is showing an artistic installation by Chris Ziegler called 66movingimages (1998–2002), a position on the present state of research in this field.

Among the films to be shown at the festival will be Ryan’s Daughter (1970), Doctor Dolittle (1967), Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines (1965), My Fair Lady (1964), Fanny’s Wedding (2000), A Year Along the Abandoned Road (1991), Airport (1970), The Sound of Music (1965) and 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968).
