The ZKM in Donaueschingen

At a joint event staged by the SWR and the ZKM Karlsruhe during the Donaueschingen Music Festival all the award-winning works from the 50 years of the Karl Sczuka Prize, most of which now form part of the regular repertoire of the ars acustica, can be heard on headphones at a listening bar installed by the ZKM (follow-up event at the ZKM, 11/25–27/2005).
The series of events under the heading Acoustic Variations has been part of the Donaueschingen Music Festival for the past 33 years. Apart from live concerts and sound installations at the festival it will feature contemporary works of radio art – covering everything from loudspeaker music to the performing arts – that have been awarded the SWR’s Karl Sczuka Prize.
