The Karlsruhe University of Music as Guest at the ZKM | Institute for Music and Acoustics – 2009

The ZKM has worked together with the University of Music Karlsruhe for quite some time now in various cooperation projects. The annual concert presentations of contemporary music from the University’s composition classes and studios reflect the current artistic production, which will occur this time in cooperation with the Folkwang Hochschule Essen and the composition classes of Wolfgang Rihm and Günter Steinke. The computer studio at the Conservatory of Music will present its aesthetic and technical state-of-the-art with new works. The computer studio’s laptop orchestra »Grainface,« founded four years ago, will present its own compositions and live improvisation.
