Cluster and Luma.Launisch

Cluster, alias Dieter Moebius and Hans-Joachim Roedelius have been making music for over forty years now and follow the tradition of a musical direction that was self-ironically labeled Krautrock in its day. They continue to nurture the distinct tendency to improvise and experiment with electronics. Original to them is spontaneity and a lack of definition, the musical pieces begin and end simply, without intention, as though of their own accord. The duo uses the entire spectrum of electronic instruments for its unique sound worlds, sometimes eccentric, sometimes ironic. An incomparable music, repetitive and atmospheric, but still does not seem staged. Cluster is accompanied visually by the VJ duo Luma.Launisch from Vienna.
