Head of The Statue of Liberty with "I know what you've written your friends"
Thu, September 05, 2013 6 pm CEST, Celebration

Since the revelations in recent weeks there has been an increase in fear for digital surveillance. But how is one to protect oneself against it? There are a number of protective measures − many of which are free of charge −, and yet their usage often fails due to user’s insufficient knowledge or due to the (apparent) complexity of such aid programs. "This does not have to be case!", is the response of organizers of the »Anti Prism Party«: Karlsruhe security and encryption experts will demonstrate how users may better protect themselves by data security: whether secure online banking, email encryption or anonymous surfing on the Web – in all cases of application, possibilities exist that prevent data theft.

Profound IT knowledge is not required in order to follow the explanation of security expects.

The Curbside Prophets will cater for background music from 8 p.m.
