Das ZKM at the UNPAINTED – Media Art Fair

More than 50 participants from all over the world will provide fascinating insights into the history, presence and future of media art at the first fair for digital art and media art in Munich, Germany.
The ZKM presents the interactive, audio visual installation »reacTable« from 2005 − an elekcronic music instrument with a revolutionary interface, which transforms sound, rhythm and music in a tangible and visible experience. The instrument is in the tradition of classic, modular synthesizer, but lets you forget the the complexity of electronic music by its intuativ interface.
Furthermore, we present a selection of the best apps which were submitted for the last three ediitions of the »AppArtAward«. These show that mobile media became key tools of contemporary civilization and how art functions and changes in the age of digital distribution.
The exhibition »TYPEMOTION. Type as Image in Motion« shows the cultural change of using type and language in the age of technical media. Some typemotions will be presented by using ARM code at the fair.
