Collecting Connects – Museum Collections make Connections

For this year's International Museum Day offers the ZKM | Museum Communication (action) to guides and invites the visitors to be represented with a portrait in the museum space.

With this year’s motto »Collecting Unites − Museum Collections make Connections« photographs are taken that critically examine the theme Collection.

These not only include pictures of the museums' own collections or shots of single museum objects, but also so-called »museum selfies«, self-portraits in the museum. Via their platform on the web − such as Facebook, Twitter or Instagram − the museums' own photographs may be submitted either under the hashtag #IMT14 or #myCollection14, published or sent in by email tomitmachen@museumstag.de. Whoever wishes may describe his own pictures in short headings, as well as specify the hashtag of the respective places of origin (e.g.@zkmkarlsruhe).
