Carte blanche: Concert by Beatriz Ferreyra with her own works

The »Les Femmes de GRM« Festival will open on 12th January 2017 with the Carte blanche by Béatriz Ferreyra. Béatriz Ferreyra is a first generation composer and researcher of the Groupe de Recherches Musicales (GRM). The Argentinean came across the group just a few years after its foundation by Pierre Schaeffer at the end of the 1950s. In 1966, Ferreyra assisted the research and production team in the development of Schaeffer’s famous auditory school and its quasi-magnum opus »Le solfège de l’objet sonore«. Since then, Ferreyra has excelled through her own acousmatic compositions and as a curator of the experimental concert series »Les rendez-vous de la Musique concrète«. In 2015, four of Béatriz Ferreyra’s works – »Demeures Aquatiques«, »Un Fil Invisible«, »Médisances« and »Les Larmes De L’inconnu« – were published under the fifteenth catalogue number of the »RECOLLECTION GRM« series on the Editions Mego label.
