Already for the 20th time, the city of Karlsruhe participates in the »Open Monument Day«, which is celebrated throughout Europe. Numerous institutions invite to discover and explore cultural monuments of Karlsruhe with guided tours, concerts and activities. The ZKM presents the oldest vacuum-tube computer in the world.

At the ZKM, which has been situated in a listed industrial building since 1997, two guided tours are offered on the occasion of the »Open Monument Day«. They provide an insight into the world's oldest vacuum-tube computer, the »Zuse Z22«, serial number 13, as well as into the exhibition »Open Codes. The World as a Field of Data«, which lets the participants grasp the »behind« our digital world.

The free guided tours take place at 11:30 am 2:30 pm. Meeting point ist the info point at the foyer of the ZKM.
