The jazz guitarist, born in 1987 in San Francisco and living in New York, played with celebrities such as Carlos Santana, Pat Metheny and Gary Burton when he was less than ten years old.
He found his mentor in guitarist legend Jim Hall, with whose playing he shares the same sonority. Today he is considered to be the most promising and stylish jazz guitarist of his generation. In a trio with double bass and drums, he switches easily between bebop, early rock'n' roll, surf, bluegrass and flamenco.
Julian Lage defines grooving and rocking standards with his latest album »Modern Lore«, which should be an epiphany for jazz and rock fans alike. Jorge Roeder and Eric Doob are his long-time fellow musicians, who always give his musical enthusiasm the right foundation.
