In the presence of director Marie-Pierre Bonniol, the ZKM is showing »Imaginary Musics«, eight experimental short films from 2018. These films where shot with an iPhone only, last about 45 minutes and are divided into three subthemes.
Thematically, the program begins with a winter night in Berlin, continues with a journey to Bourges in France where spring is rediscovered and ends with engines and transports as allegories of certain mystical states of consciousness, the concept of Lo-Fi and the so-called »bachelor machines / Les Machines Célibataires« as described by Jean-François Lyotard or Harald Szeeman
In addition to the experimental short films, the premiere of Marie-Pierre Bonniol's latest short film »the surface and the substance« will be shown.
