For the third concert of the series »Sternbild: Mensch« the KlangForum Heidelberg has again commissioned two compositions: Works by José Mária Sánchez-Verdú and Valerio Sannicandro will be premiered, along with »harmonical« works of early music and modern classics.

New, universal, cosmic and global perspectives have been realized in collaboration with the ZKM Karlsruhe. In VOIDS for six voices and live electronics, Valerio Sannicandro challenges himself to set the concept of emptiness into music. The lyrics are based exclusively on the numerals 0 and 1, the »to be or not to be« of the digital age – although sung in 13 languages and distorted by NASA sounds.

The third part of the six-part concert series »Sternbild: Mensch« is realized by the Klaus Tschira Foundation, the KulturLabHD, through the Innovation Fund Art and the Cultural Intervention of BASF, Gate 4.
