»Schubert in Love« is a homage to the composer Franz Schubert and his song cycle »Winterreise«. Helga Plankensteiner and her band »Plankton« send some of the romantic songs on a journey through jazz.
Helga Plankensteiner comes from South Tyrol and is a singer and saxophonist trained in both classical and jazz music. Her band »Plankton« consists of the versatile trumpeter Matthias Schriefl from Allgäu, the modernist Gerhard Gschlößl on trombone, the 'guitar alchemist' Enrico Terragnoli and the picturesque drummer Nelide Bandello.
Together with the arranger Michael Lösch they find their own access to the masterpiece of the great composer.
»Schulbert in Love« is a homage to the romantic composer Franz Schubert and his song cycle »Winterreise«, which consists of 24 songs composed by Schubert in autumn 1827, one year before his death.
