The stage – a window to the world! In November 2021, the Kulturverein Tempel e.V. invites you to the three-day festival »TANZ Karlsruhe« and provides insight into contemporary dance stories as well as their digital transformation.

Following the long-standing tradition, this year it is once again »Clear the stage!« for the international dance productions, workshops and films of »TANZ Karlsruhe«. In cooperation with partners such as the Tollhaus and the Badisches Staatstheater, the whole of Karlsruhe will be on the move. The ZKM is also involved again and has, among others, Kevin Finnan, the artistic director of »Motionhouse«, as a guest, whose workshop will provide insight into his fascinating way of working. Creating a »living film«, he combines dance, artistry and media art and shapes them into dynamic as well as visually impressive productions. Our visitors will get a live performance of his production »Nobody«. In digital worlds and exposed to constant transformation, the protagonists embark on a journey to themselves and thus hold a mirror up to the audience. The performance of »Bats« by the Sebastian Weber Dance Company, which explores the interaction of the most diverse forms of life and the beginning of the Corona crisis, also remains topical and realistic.
